Privacy & GDPR

This policy describes the personal data processed by Blazrr, the legal bases used, and how to take back control.

Last updated: 30/10/2026

Summary in three lines

Blazrr stores a nickname, an email, a bio, photos and messages. GPS position is only kept to calculate distances and stays readable by you alone. You can export or delete all of it from settings.

Data controller

The data controller is the Blazrr team, operator of the site blazrr.app, reachable at privacy@blazrr.be.

Data collected

  • Account identity: email address, technical identifier, role (member or moderator), account status.
  • Profile: nickname, date of birth (to verify age and calculate the displayed age, which can be hidden), tagline, bio, photos, height, weight, body type, looking-for, hosting and travel preferences, optional social network.
  • Explore & Roam: places you save, temporary position chosen during a Roam session, place name and arrival status displayed on your profile.
  • Notifications: your device's push subscription identifier and its browser type, only if you enable alerts.
  • Location: approximate GPS coordinates sent by the browser, used to calculate distances. They are never shown as raw values to other members.
  • Content: published photos, private messages, albums and access keys.
  • Usage signals: profile visits, favorites, blocks, "NOW" status, last activity.
  • Moderation: reports, decisions, security logs.
  • Payments: amount and date of credit purchases, and your credit balance. Your bank details are processed by Stripe and never pass through our servers.

Who sees what

  • Your nickname, age, tagline and public photos are visible to members.
  • Your private photos are only visible to members you've given a key to.
  • Your messages are only readable by you and the other person.
  • A moderator can read reported content to handle the report.
  • Your GPS coordinates are only readable by you and by the distance calculation.
  • If you block someone, or if they block you, neither of you sees the other's profile or photos anymore, on both sides.
  • A photo removed by moderation can no longer be viewed, even via its direct link.

Explore & Roam

Explore lets you look at another city, and Roam lets you temporarily appear there for one hour. What this means:

  • During a Roam session, other members see a badge with the place name and your arrival status, never your exact coordinates.
  • Place search goes through the OpenStreetMap / Nominatim mapping service, which only receives the text you typed.
  • Settings → "Show me in Explore searches" lets you only be visible to people physically nearby.
  • Explore and Roam are automatically disabled in countries where LGBTQ+ people are penalized by law, to prevent any tracking.
  • A Roam session expires after one hour and can be stopped at any time.

Push notifications

If you enable alerts, your device registers an encrypted subscription. It's only used to notify you of a message, a visit or an album request. The content sent is kept to the essentials, and the subscription is deleted as soon as you disable notifications or uninstall the app.

Retention periods

  • Account and profile: until you request deletion, then a 30-day recovery period during which the profile is invisible to other members, before permanent erasure. Data needed for a sanction or a legal obligation may be kept longer.
  • Messages: until deleted by either party.
  • GPS positions: only the latest position is kept (replaced on each update) to show distance; it is deleted with the account.
  • Roam sessions: one hour, then automatically deleted.
  • Saved places: until you delete them.
  • Notification subscriptions: until disabled or uninstalled.
  • Reports and decisions: 5 years maximum.
  • Technical logging: 13 months.
  • Credit purchase history: 10 years (accounting obligations).

Processors

  • Lovable (app hosting and delivery network).
  • Lovable Cloud (database, sign-in and file storage).
  • Google (fonts and Google sign-in, if you use it).
  • Google Maps (map tiles) and OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (place search) for Explore & Roam.
  • Stripe (secure payment for credit packs; no bank details are stored by Blazrr).

None of these partners use your content for their own advertising. Transfers outside the European Union may occur for Google authentication; equivalent privacy safeguards apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. Two are built into the app:

  • Export: Settings → "Export my data" generates a readable file containing your profile, photos, messages and access keys.
  • Delete: Settings → "Delete account" hides your profile immediately. For 30 days you can restore it by signing back in; after that, your profile, photos, stories, messages, favourites, blocks, credits and access keys are permanently erased.

For any other request, write to privacy@blazrr.be.. A response is provided within a month. You can also contact the Data Protection Authority (Belgium) or the CNIL (France).

You may also contact your local authority: APD (Belgium), CNIL (France), CNPD (Luxembourg), Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Netherlands), BfDI or the relevant regional authority (Germany), AEPD (Spain).

Security

Access is protected by server-side security rules: every request is verified, passwords are hashed, and private photos are never served without authorization. Human vigilance completes these protections.

Minors

The service is reserved for adults. If an account belonging to a minor is brought to our attention, it is deleted and the associated content removed.

Changes

This policy may evolve. Any substantial change is announced in the app, and the update date is shown at the top of this page.
