Cookies & local storage

Blazrr doesn't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. Here's what's saved on your device and what it's for.

Last updated: 09/10/2026

What's stored on your device

  • Login session: a token that saves you from logging back in every time you open the app. It expires and renews automatically.
  • Display preferences: active tab, discovery filters, last viewed conversation.
  • Position: kept for the session to calculate distances without asking permission again.
  • Notifications: a subscription identifier, if you enable alerts.
  • Explore & Roam: the last place explored and your saved places, to reopen the map where you left it.
  • Stay logged in: your choice at login, which determines whether the session closes the next time you open the browser.
  • Device security: a random identifier stored in hashed form recognises an installation after a sanction. It does not access the serial number or other phone data.

What isn't stored

  • No advertising cookie.
  • No third-party social network tracker.
  • No external audience measurement pixel.
  • No data resale to partners.

Installing the app

Blazrr can be installed on your home screen. On Android, a banner offers one-tap installation. On iPhone, go through Safari: "Share" button, then "Add to Home Screen". The banner disappears once the app is installed.

Installing the app adds no tracking: it's the same site, opened full screen, with the option to receive notifications.

Offline behavior

Blazrr installs as an app on your phone and keeps already-viewed content in memory to open faster. These copies are never shared and can be erased by uninstalling the app.

Erase everything

  • In the app: Settings → "Log out" removes the session.
  • In the browser: clear the site's data to erase preferences and position.
  • On your phone: uninstalling the app removes the offline copies.

Permissions requested

  • Location: needed for distances. Without it, the radar works with approximate distances.
  • Notifications: to notify you of a message or a visit. Refusing doesn't block any other feature.
  • Camera and gallery: only used when you choose a picture to publish.
